Modern agricultural machinery ensures spring sowing, summer management, and autumn harvest. In Guazhou County, the Agricultural Machinery Service Center focuses on socialized machinery services, technology promotion, and safe machinery production, using practical measures to solve agricultural production problems and making modern machinery a “hard power” driving rural revitalization.
Enhancing socialized services to solve farming difficulties
To address farmers’ pain points of “difficult farming, low efficiency,” Guazhou County has vigorously promoted socialized agricultural management services, integrating resources from county-level agricultural machinery cooperatives. Centered on main crops like wheat, corn, and cotton, the county develops “single-step” and “multi-step” management services, providing mechanized “plowing, sowing, protection, and harvesting” services to increase agricultural operational efficiency. By 2025, a total of 11.6442 million yuan in various management service projects have been invested, covering 65,000 mu for wheat and corn management, 80,000 mu for cotton, and 50,000 mu for residual film collection, freeing farmers from traditional labor-intensive practices and achieving “one mu managed, worry-free and income-increasing,” seamlessly connecting with modern agricultural development.
Machinery promotion empowers agriculture and improves efficiency
Focusing on the needs of agricultural modernization, Guazhou County actively introduces and promotes high-performance, intelligent agricultural machinery. On-site demonstrations of new smart machinery such as cotton topping robots allow farmers to experience the advantages of technology-driven farming. The county efficiently implements machinery purchase and application subsidy policies, providing 24 million yuan in subsidies in 2025, and adding 2,201 units of modern machinery including high-power tractors, cotton pickers, and agricultural drones, benefiting 1,627 households. The county’s agricultural mechanization level continues to rise, providing solid equipment support for improving the quality and efficiency of grain and specialty industries.
Green machinery protects the ecological environment
Following green development principles, the county prioritizes mechanized collection of residual film in farmland, expanding application areas, eliminating agricultural non-point source pollution, and promoting sustainable development. The county also advances the scrapping and replacement of old machinery through policy promotion, door-to-door collection, and accelerated subsidy payments, encouraging farmers to replace high-energy, high-pollution equipment. In 2025, 2,892 old machines were scrapped, effectively promoting energy saving and emission reduction, ensuring machinery safety, and achieving “three-life” dual-win between production, living, and ecology.
Safety services safeguard production
Safety is placed at the forefront of all work. The county implements the “three managements and three musts” policy, hosting provincial agricultural machinery emergency drills to provide exemplary guidance and improve safety management. Through activities like “Agricultural Machinery Safety Month,” “3.15 Consumer Rights Day,” and village demonstrations, over 6,000 safety leaflets were distributed and 34 technical standards of safe machinery operation were promoted. Multi-measures improve operator safety skills, eliminate risks at the source, and protect high-quality development. Machinery safety inspections covered over 12,000 tractors and combine harvesters, with more than 2,100 driver license renewals, and on-site safety inspections in the fields, safeguarding agricultural production.
Next steps
The Guazhou County Agricultural Machinery Service Center will continue to focus on the high-quality development of the agricultural and rural economy, deepen socialized machinery services, expand the promotion of new machinery, and strengthen machinery safety, using more practical measures and better services to assist the modernization and efficiency improvement of agriculture.
