Demonstrating the Technological Strength of China’s Mold Exports
On December 13, the Publicity Department of the CPC Heilongjiang Provincial Committee and the Information Office of the Heilongjiang Provincial People’s Government held the 17th press conference of the themed series “High-Quality Completion of the 14th Five-Year Plan,” focusing on “Vigorously Advancing Agricultural Revitalization and Building Livable, Business-Friendly, and Beautiful Rural Areas.”
At the press conference, relevant officials introduced the progress and achievements Heilongjiang has made in advancing agricultural mechanization. They emphasized that agricultural machinery and equipment are an important foundation for safeguarding national food security and building a strong agricultural nation. Since the beginning of the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Heilongjiang has adhered to strengthening equipment capacity, optimizing structural layout, raising standards, and promoting technology, enabling advanced agricultural machinery to play a significant role in supporting modern large-scale agriculture and enhancing comprehensive grain production capacity. These achievements are mainly reflected in three aspects:
1. Continuous Optimization of Equipment Structure
Heilongjiang has promoted both equipment renewal and the scrapping of outdated machinery, taking the lead nationwide in implementing a new round of agricultural machinery purchase subsidies and scrappage replacement policies. Since the start of the 14th Five-Year Plan, the province has subsidized the purchase of more than 700,000 units of various agricultural machines and scrapped over 100,000 obsolete machines.
The province was also the first in China to implement the “premium machines, premium subsidies” policy, focusing on the full agricultural production process of plowing, planting, management, and harvesting. Tiered subsidies were increased for four categories of equipment, including power-shift tractors, pneumatic seeders, and plant protection drones. Currently, Heilongjiang has 33,000 agricultural drones—the highest number nationwide—49,000 tractors with 200 horsepower and above, and 21,000 pneumatic seeders, ranking among the top in the country.
With a more optimized machinery structure, greater horsepower, and higher efficiency, the comprehensive mechanization rate of crop cultivation, planting, and harvesting in the province has increased to 99.28%, which is 24 percentage points higher than the national average, firmly ranking first nationwide.
2. Significant Improvement in Production Capacity
By matching “good practices” with “good machinery,” high-performance and high-horsepower agricultural equipment has enabled advanced technologies such as large-ridge dense planting, conservation tillage, straw return, and deep loosening to be effectively implemented, becoming a key factor in increasing grain yields. Through the promotion of high-performance seeders, seedling emergence rates have increased from about 89% to over 95%.
Currently, the province has 660,000 seeders, with a maximum daily sowing capacity exceeding 16 million mu, and 210,000 large harvesting machines, with a maximum daily harvesting capacity exceeding 20 million mu. These capacities fully meet the needs of mechanized spring sowing and autumn harvesting. Under normal weather conditions, most regions can complete spring planting or autumn harvesting within about 10 days.
Modern agricultural machinery has become the strongest foundation and most reliable guarantee for seizing the farming season, increasing unit yields, and achieving bumper harvests.
3. Accelerated Digital and Intelligent Empowerment
Guided by the development of smart agriculture and supported by the establishment of national pilot zones for agricultural machinery promotion and application, Heilongjiang has built 26 bases for equipment maturation and application, leading the nationwide promotion of large, high-horsepower, high-end intelligent agricultural machinery. Unmanned tractors, rice transplanters, and harvesters are already operating extensively across Heilongjiang’s black soil region.
The province has also taken the lead nationwide in establishing a provincial-level smart agricultural machinery dispatching platform, with 130,000 intelligent monitoring terminals installed to provide real-time monitoring for key farming operations such as no-till seeding, deep loosening, and straw return. Focusing on Beidahuang Group and leveraging modern large-scale agricultural application scenarios, Heilongjiang has built 20 unmanned farming operations. The application of intelligent agricultural machinery and the construction of smart farms are leading the country, driving modern agriculture toward greater precision, digitalization, and intelligence.
